Postal address validation [DAN EN]

Address checking for Canada and USA is a service provided by Avalara. An Avalara account is required.

Syntax checking of addresses improves deliveries efficiency.

Settings

Run menu Trade & Logistics <F7> Fichiers spécifiques / Paramètres Dossier\Établissement

Press Shift+F4 to enter view mode

Two checkboxes are available, according to the Web service’s presence :

  • Enable address check

  • Format address’s response with upper case. If unchecked, only the first letter of names will be in upper case.

How to use

When checking addresses is enabled, a button becomes available for every address prompt

A new window will open with data provided by API. For empty fields, checkboxes are unavailble.

It is possible to fine tune fields, and to select only fields you want to update

Data will be checked by ERP ‘as usual’.

If tax search mode is set on ‘postal code’, and a (ZIP+4) postal code is not existing in the postal codes table, an alert will be prompted.
